Making YouTube videos as a 'small channel' is truly a labor of love, and the time I've spent connecting with viewers and creating content that helps others has been incredible.

But the truth is, it takes a significant amount of time and money to keep the channel going. As many of you may know, ad revenue doesn't pay the bills and small channels aren’t exactly swimming in sponsorship deals to cover costs. While making these videos may seem like the easiest thing in the world, as a one person team, every video requires hours of planning, driving, filming, and even longer editing (SO much time editing!)

I've been freelancing in the photography/editing space for years, but as I started dedicating more time to creating YouTube videos, that meant less time getting paid work to pay the bills (and let’s be honest, buy my dog an unhealthy amount of soft cuddly toys.)
